The photo contest was held with the aim of making veteran trees visible and to support them in the landscape. In the „whole“ category, the authors had the opportunity to focus on trees in a landscape, forest, or orchard, while the „detail“ category belonged to wood structures and life tied to old trees.

There were a total of 50 pictures in both categories, from which the jury selected three successful authors each. Not only was the quality of the image, composition and idea evaluated, but also its execution.

The first place in the „whole“ category was taken by Rudolf Fukal with his photo Chestnuts, followed by Filip Petrák (Torso of life) and Linda Průšová (King of the Forest). The second category was dominated by Filip Petrák (Guardian), followed by Hana Dřízhalová (Krajina) and Radomír Vyoral (Dying in Ramsons).

We congratulate the authors and we include the winning images in the emerging exhibition, which you will be able to view from November in the hall of the Podblanické ekocentrum.
